NEW! REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR "NO LIMITS" PROGRAMS
Registration is now open for "No Limits," adaptive recreation programs that provide social and recreational services to youth and adults with physical or developmental disabilities. Program highlights for January include Adaptive Bowling (begins 1/26), No Limits Walking Club (begins 1/17) and Adaptive Fishing begins 1/18). Registration is required for all program participants. BAKER'S DOZEN MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION ENDS JANUARY 15

FREE ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION ON JANUARY 14
9AM-1PM @ the Pearland Community Center (3523 Liberty Dr). The celebration includes a tree seedling give-away with 500 seedlings available while quantities last. Varieties to be given away this year include Southern Catalpa, Persimmon, Spicebush, Southern Waxmyrtle and Eastern Red Cedar. Urban Forrester, John Walters will also be on hand to demonstrate proper planting and pruning techniques for trees at 10AM. DISCOUNTED WINTERFEST PRE-SALE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE
Purchase your tickets now through January 26 and save $2 per ticket! Tickets on sale now at the Parks & Recreation main office (4141 Bailey Road) Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-5:30PM. **Another way to save: Bring a canned-good to the event and receive one $2 discount per ticket for each can donated. All food donations will benefit the Pearland Neighborhood Center.

- Date/Time/Place: January 28, 10AM - 5PM @ the Bailey Campus (4717 Bailey Road)
- Parking at Pearland High School (3775 S. Main)
- Regular Admission: $10 for 3-16 years & $4 for 17 years+
- FREE Shuttle Provided; All ages welcome
Enjoy the fun with a Snow Tubing Hill, the HEB Plus! Winter Zone, carnival and midway games, rides and inflatables, the Dawson Winter Dash 5K and Family Fun Run, the TEDCU Petting Zoo & Pony Ride Zone, a live performance from "Vocal Trash", craft show, Micro Stock Car racing and rock climbing. Be sure to stop by and experience a fun-filled day of playing in the snow, riding rides, eating great food, and playing games with friends and family.

Maggie, That is a nice summary of events for your area. That snow tubing sounds like fun. I'm assuming the snow is made on site and lasts maybe a couple of hours. I guess we get about as much real snow as you do over there, so I imagine the kids really enjoy anything that come close to snow.
