Last week I blogged about a fundraiser for a local young man, John "Ty" Tyson. John Tyson, who is 26 years old, was diagnosed with stage 3 Esophageal cancer on January 17, 2011. Esophageal cancer had become one of the fastest growing cancers in the past few years. Unfortunately, it is rarely caught early since the symptoms resemble things such as acid reflux or ulcers therefore survival rate is low. He is currently getting treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is participating in a clinical trial. John is such a fighter and we believe that he can BEAT this cancer!
As is with cancer fights, the medical bill are extremely expensive. A group of people at Ty's church have put together a second fundraiser to help offset these bills. This is one of the most original fundraisers I have seen in a long time!
Chris Hughes has set up an online auction. You have the chance to bid on 6 songs. If you are the winner, you will be able to have Chris sing the song of your choice. If you win, you will also receive a DVD and Audio CD of the recording to remember this magnificent performance forever!
