I love this time of year in Texas! Spring is here, the heat is not unbearable (yet), and most of all - bluebonnets are in bloom!
For those of you who don't know, bluebonnets are the official flower of Texas. In fact, it is illegal to pick them if they are growing wild. Right now, bluebonnets are growing wild on the side of highways and roads.
Recently, my daughter & granddaughter drove by a beautiful patch of bluebonnets not far from where I live. I have driven by there before and there always a lot of cars parked and people out taking pictures.
My daughter decided to stop to take a look and get in some great pictures last week. The flowers are beautiful, and they were able to visit with the owner. He is a sweet man who allows people to take pictures on his property for free!
