The residents of Pearland, TX are incredibly lucky to have a city government that is committed to a cleaner, greener Pearland! If you do not know already, the City of Pearland will not only give you a recycling bin but will also pick up your recycling! If you do not have a recycling bin, please contact the city at 281-652-1603. Bins can be obtained at City Hall, 3519 Liberty, Ste 100 or at the satellite office at the Public Safety Building, 2555 Cullen Blvd.
Here is a quick reminder of the recyclables included:
· Juice Boxes and Cartons
· Glass
· Tin-Steel Cans
· Paper Board; such as cereal boxes, paper egg cartons
· Magazines
· Aluminum Cans, Foil and Pie Tins
· Card Board- flattened and new
· Newspaper
· Junk Mail
· Phone Books and Catalogs
· Office Paper
· Brown Paper Bags
· Plastics coded 1-7 on bottom
Make sure to rinse out your cans and bottle so there is no food waste and the item is clean. Please do not include films, plastic bags, plastic wrap, foam cups, containers or Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
All recyclable items can be placed in your recycling bin and placed at the curb by 7:00 am on your recycling day. Recyclable items can also be placed in a personal container marked “Recycling Materials”. HHW can be taken to the City’s Stella Robert Recycling Center located at 5800 Magnolia Road. Their hours are 12:00 Noon - 5:00PM Wednesday through Friday and 9:00 AM - 1:00PM on Saturdays.
With everyone working together and recycling items instead of throwing them in the trash, we can reduce the amount needed for landfills, reduce our carbon footprint and make Pearland a cleaner city!
