Keep Pearland Beautiful's Fall Community Clean-up!
On Saturday, September 10, 2011 Keep Pearland Beautiful will host the annual Fall Community Clean-up. Join Keep Pearland Beautiful, Scout Troops, school groups, church groups, civic organizations, families and businesses from all over Pearland to continue the fight against litter in our community.
KPB will meet at the Pearland Community Center, 3523 Liberty Dr., starting at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and assignments. Keep Pearland Beautiful will supply bags and gloves for the cleanup and will send a crew out to pick up the bags of trash. There will be special gifts for all volunteers and four cash prizes will be awarded. There will be a random drawing from wrap-up reports submitted on time and a prize for the group submitting the most original clean-up photo of their group. The third cash prize will go to the group collecting the most cigarette butts that day (verified with a picture; check with KPB staff for more details). And finally, a cash prize for the most unusual item found by your group, verified by a picture!!
In 2010 there were 575 volunteers, working 823 hours collecting 165 bags of trash; KPB hopes to see you all return and make it a record day for clean-up in Pearland.
