History of Houston Via Colori - In 2006, The Center for Hearing and Speech(CHS) introduced Via Colori®, The Street Painting Festival, to the city of Houston. Created to celebrate the Italian Renaissance art of street painting, this annual event raises funds for CHS and increases awareness about hearing loss and services available for deaf children.
Celebrating its fifth year, Houston Via Colori, is back, bigger than ever. Come for a spectacular free event and watch as over 250 talented artists transform the pavement of downtown Houston right before your eyes. Talk to the artists, listen to live music from more than a dozen local bands, eat, drink and be mesmerized. When it’s all washed away, you’ll ask yourself, “Did that really happen?"
