Are you ready to purchase your first home? Before you take the "Big Step" into buying a home, sit down, relax and go over your monthly expenses. By taking the time to do this, you will be able see what you can comfortably afford for your home monthly payment.
The next step is to get your loan in order with a mortgage company. Often times you might be approved for a loan amount that is higher then what is comfortable for your monthly budget. This is why it is imperative for you to start with your monthly expenses to see what you can be comfortable with on a monthly basis.
You don't need to settle!
You will be happy to know that interest rates continue to be extremely low which, will contribute to lower monthly payment and the ability to purchase more home then a couple of years ago. I have had several clients recently who were able to take advantage of the historic low interest rates and purchase a home that a year ago would have been outside of their price range - all because the interest rate they secured provided a lower monthly payment!
Once you have decided the amount you can comfortably afford, consult with your local Realtor®. Let them know the price of home that you are comfortable with and only look within that price range. When you see the home that you love and want to purchase it, you will know that what you can comfortably afford isn’t “settling!”
