The Lion's Club Presents the 56 Annual
Texas Music Festival, Village Fair and BBQ Cookoff!

If you've lived in the Bay Area for any amount of time, you already know about the Lion's Club Texas Music Festival, Village Fair & BBQ Cookoff. But I wanted to blog about this great event (and even greater organization) as my family has been impacted by it.
Each year, the Lions Club puts on what can only be described as a mega event - a weekend filled with music, golf, food, a carnival and crafts - all to raise money for its 13 charities. These charities include Sight First, Devereux Texas, Interfaith Caring Ministries, and perhaps my favorite, The Texas Lion's Camp. The Texas Lion's Camp is a youth camp specifically designed for for children with physical disabilities, type 1 diabetes and cancer. My youngest son is hearing impaired and last year, he had the opportunity to go to this fantastic camp. Fully sponsored by the Pearland Lion's Club. I cannot tell you what a positive impact it was for him and our family.
As I can personally attest to how much the Lions Club does for our are and for local families. If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, make the drive out to League City and come to this awesome event!
There is entertainment for the whole family! A carnival, food, and a vendors tent filled with local businesses will be available during the day. Your family will leave the fair happy and full of all the yummy food you will have the opportunity to sample!
Throughout the day, live music will be playing from fantastic bands such as Casey Donahew Band, Randy Rogers Band, Blue Broussard Band and MANY MORE!
