ABOUT Pearland Parks & Recreation is gearing up for the 18th Annual Paws in the Park, benefiting the Pearland Animal Adoption center. We will kick things off on Saturday morning with the HEB Plus! Pet and Owner Fun Run followed by the national Dock Diving competition. Dock Diving for dogs is fast becoming one of America’s most popular outdoor events! Proud pet owners travel to these events from all over the country to compete. It’s an incredible new sport that everyone loves!

In addition to the Dock Diving competition, Paws in the Parks will host teams from across the nation competing in the US Dog Disc Nationals. There are several demonstrations planned throughout the weekend including Flyball, Agility, Obedience and Grooming.
HEB PLUS! PET & OWNER FUN RUN Each year this event begins with a Fun Run and this year's races are 1K, 3K, and 5K. Compete with or without your four-legged friends!

Team Challenge is now recruiting Volunteers for the East Texas Warrior Dash

Warrior Dash is a mud crawling, fire-leaping, extreme run from hell. This fierce running series is held on the most challengeing and rugged terrain across the globe and they need help from Team Challenge to make it all happen!
With the Warrior Dash season in full swing, Warriors around the nation are either preparing for battle or proudly wearing their fuzzy helmets throughout the office. Meanwhile, on the other side of the finish line, extraordinary volunteers have confirmed that there are alternative ways to showcase their inner Warrior.
In order to make each Warrior Dash a reality, volunteers are recruited with the help of local Warriors and community organizations. These remarkable volunteers provide race-day assistance in exchange for the following:
$1,000 donation (to CCFA) in exchange for a group of 25 volunteers
Volunteer t-shirt
Snacks throughout the day
Access to live music
Fun, festival-like atmosphere
Volunteer duties may include packet pick up, answering participant questions, managing parking, overseeing obstacles, serving beer, taking photos, etc. All volunteers helping with Warrior Dash must be over the age of 16 as of day of the event
