H1N1 Flu Virus Vaccinations will be offered free to the public Sat., Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bailey Rd. Campus (next to Pearland Jr. High South), located at 4719 Bailey Rd., 77584. The Brazoria County Health Department will be on hand to administer doses. Brazoria County is working in partnership with the City of Pearland and Pearland Independent School District to make the vaccine available to the public at no cost. The Pearland Police Department is pleased to provide the community the ability to track crime via the Police-2-Citizen (P2C) site. Citizens can print public copies of police reports, view a daily bulletin of events, and find links to other useful resources. Register your cell phone on the National Do Not Call Registry!  Cell phones can now be registered on the National Do Not Call Registry. Telemarketers have 31 days to remove the phone number from their list. Federal law also prohibits calling cell phones using an automated dialer. If you purchased a Pearland home in 2009 or have never filed for homestead exemption, now is the time. As a Pearland homeowner you may apply for Residence Homestead Exemption.  A one-time application is required. The filing period has begun and the deadline is April 30, 2010.

Looks like it will be a perfect time for this weekends Pearland's 2010 Winterfest. No doubt it will feel like Winter with the freezing temperatures.  My son Jayden and I have gone to the Pearland Winterfest the last couple of years.  Honestly, I can't wait to go back this year! There is something for everyone.  Jayden loved the Petting Zoo and the snow hill last year and I loved the carnival style food.
